Amadeus Traveler ID for Safe Travel was first conceived in November 2020, with the first airline going live in April 2021. Now, eleven airlines benefit from this new solution, and nearly one million passengers have confirmed their health documentation in the carrier's existing digital touchpoints. Traveler ID for Safe Travel provides passengers with a seamless experience and saves them at least 30 minutes in the check-in and boarding process alone.
How does it work?
Before departure, travelers receive a notification with the necessary health requirements for their journey. Traveler ID for Safe Travel makes it easy for travelers to confirm that they meet the requirements by:
- Taking a photo of their health certificate or uploading the file;
- Scanning the certificate's QR code;
- Accessing information from a digital health pass.
